Terms of Service & Rental Agreement
The plain-English version of what you can expect from us — and what we ask of you — when you rent from Rockwall Box Rental.
Effective date: July 30, 2026
1. The agreement
These Terms of Service are the rental agreement between you and Rockwall Box Rental ("we", "us"). When you place a booking on our website, by phone, or by text, you agree to these terms. They cover every rental of reusable moving totes, dollies, wardrobe boxes, and related equipment, and every purchase from our packing-supplies store.
If anything here is unclear, ask us before you book — we're happy to walk through it in English or Spanish.
2. Rental periods & extensions
Rentals are booked for 1 week or 2 weeks, starting on your scheduled delivery date and ending on your scheduled pickup date.
Need more time? Contact us before your pickup date and we'll extend your rental at the extra-week rate for your package, subject to inventory. Extensions are charged to the card on file. Totes kept past the scheduled pickup date without an approved extension may be billed at the extra-week rate until returned.
3. Delivery & pickup
We deliver and pick up in three daily windows — Morning (8–11 AM), Afternoon (12–3 PM), and Evening (4–7 PM) — seven days a week. We confirm your window by text and email the day before.
Delivery fees are set by your delivery zone (Green: free, Yellow: $25, Red: $50) and shown at checkout before you pay. Pickup of the empty totes is always free, in every zone.
- You don't need to be home — leave drop-off instructions at checkout (porch, garage, leasing office).
- For pickup, leave the totes empty, closed, and stacked somewhere accessible.
- If we can't complete a delivery or pickup because of access problems (locked gates, blocked entry, unsafe conditions), a re-delivery trip may be charged at the zone rate.
4. Your responsibilities
While the equipment is in your care, you agree to:
- Use the totes and equipment for normal household or office moving only — no hazardous materials, chemicals, or illegal goods.
- Keep totes reasonably clean and closed when not in use; don't leave them outside in weather between delivery and pickup.
- Respect the posted weight limits (75 lb per tote, 250 lb per crate dolly).
- Report any damage or loss promptly through your account or by contacting us.
- Make the equipment available at the agreed time and place for pickup.
5. Damage & loss fees
Normal wear is on us. Scuffs, scratches, and sticker residue from regular use are covered by your rental fee — you will never be charged for them.
Lost or severely damaged equipment is charged at a flat replacement fee:
- $25 per lost or severely damaged tote (cracked, melted, or otherwise unusable)
- $10 per lost or damaged lid
- Other equipment (dollies, wardrobe boxes) is charged at its listed replacement cost, quoted before any charge is made
6. Sanitization
Every tote goes through our full sanitization protocol between rentals: a high-pressure hot water wash (160°F+) followed by an EPA-registered disinfectant treatment. Equipment that can't be returned to a rentable condition is retired from service.
7. Payment terms
Prices are shown at checkout before you pay, and include the package, any add-ons, the delivery fee for your zone, and applicable Texas sales tax. There are no deposits and no hidden fees.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Your card is charged when your booking is confirmed. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles all card data.
Extension charges, approved damage or loss fees, and re-delivery trips are charged to the same card. We'll always explain a charge before making it.
8. Cancellation & refund policy
Life happens — plans change. Here's exactly how cancellations work:
- Cancel 72 hours or more before your scheduled delivery: full refund, no questions asked. Cancel from your account or contact us.
- Cancel inside 72 hours of your scheduled delivery: the booking is non-refundable. We'll always try to reschedule you instead — same-week moves are usually possible as long as we have inventory.
- If we have to cancel your booking (severe weather, inventory issues, or anything on our side), you get a full refund, every time.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method through Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days.
9. Limitation of liability
We work hard to be on time and careful, but some things are outside our control. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages (missed move dates, lost income, or similar). Our total liability for any claim related to a rental is limited to the amount you paid for that rental. We are not responsible for damage to your belongings during packing, transit, or unpacking — the totes protect contents, but how they're packed and moved is up to you and your movers.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Texas law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Rockwall County, Texas.
11. Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Terms in force when you booked apply to that booking.
